Lies

good-luck

“If you’ve got a gun in your house, I’m not taking it,’’ Obama said. But the Illinois senator could still see skeptics in the crowd, particularly on the faces of several men at the back of the room.

So he tried again. “Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress,’’ he said. “This can’t be the reason not to vote for me. Can everyone hear me in the back? I see a couple of sportsmen back there. I’m not going to take away your guns.’’

REALLY?  Then why is President Obama going to sign the Assault Rifle Ban that expired in 2004?  Lies are lies, no matter how good of orator delivers them.

If you’re not outraged, take out your earplugs at the range for a moment…

Of Course…

hi“Quite frankly, I would have done it faster,” stated the Speaker of the Hose day.  What could she be talking about; that’s right, raising taxes.  This was not taken out of context and it wasn’t a rouge staffer.  Politico has the full article here.  I am so pleased that she thinks she knows what’s better for our pocketbooks than we do.  Protecting us from ourselves, someone has to do.  With all that free will, who knows what dumb things Americans would have done.  Here is a better question; with government protecting us so much, why the need for national healthcare?

Ivan the Terrible

czar

Towing the party line can be so taxing; just ask Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV).  Normally, it is a good idea to stand on the other side of the room when you see this man, but there are exceptions to every rule.  Byrd has taken a hardline stance against the Obama Adminitraion apointing czars to numerous issues.

Simple put, a czar is a White House staffer that is not appointed by the Senate, thus bypassing the normal appointment process.  Presidents have used them before, most notable are drug czars.  However, they have no constitutional place in the White House and it is considered a huge power grab by Obama.  Byrd has also stated this postion in an open letter to the White House.

The true issue here, is that the czars will do as they are told by the President and they only have to answer to him.  The czars need to appease the President, not the people, to maintain their positions.  This was a bad idea during the 43’s years and it is still a bad idea today.  So much for openness and bringing a new culture to the District.

A True Capitalist Nation?

dduntitled1

Welcome China!  A communist country that understands more about capitalism and free markets than America.  China already holds a significant portion of US debt in the form of “T” bills.  They buy what we cannot afford and then we are locked into trade agreements.  Well, thanks to Secerety of State Clinton, they will now own more of the US than Americans probably will.

Clinton asked China and three other Asian nations to continue to support the US Treasury.  This is great, not only can our exorbanite tax rate fail to cover the US debt, we have to turn a communist country to save us.  This is wrong on so many levels, but we will examine a few for purpose of brevity.

First, China can call that debt, trillions mind you, at any time they please.  It is unlikey to happen, but if trade continues to slow and their people are starving, they will have no choice.  Years ago, China promised its people that if they worked, there would be food.  This promise is starting to show a significant gap as of late. So, what do we do if China calls the debt, or even or portion?  No one knows.

Also, Clinton had to shirk the human rights violations that China has been engaged in the past years.  While I do not advocate interferring in other countries affairs, China has been a rather large violator of said rights.  But why should they care when the US is terrified of angering the great red beast.

There were no talks in Taiwan or Tibet.  These are issues that will soon matter the average citizen, as the US will have to decide whether to support free Taiwan or back  China for financial reasons.  So, where does this leave us?  Weaker than ever, in a time when we must be strong.  Great work assembling a crack Cabinet, President Obama.

If you’re not outraged, wait until it all falls apart…comrade.

Oh Brother, It’s Big Brother

caChicago; baseball, hot dogs, pizza and the over-reaching hand of government.  Cook County has always been known for some rather odd politics over the years, but this time it has gone too far.  The mayor of the city stated that he is please with the pace of the expanding surveillance cameras for the 2016 Olympics.  Daley said that they were happy to know that the new system will be combating terrorism and saving lives.

However, Ray Orozco, executive director of the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications, stated that civil libertarians had nothing to fear because they were not going to place any cameras in private buildings.  I feel so much more secure right now.

These cameras will not combat terrorism, only add the state inflicted terrorism to the general population.  Is this view too extreme?  No, in fact, it is nearly impossible to understand why the citizens of Chicago are not protesting this injustice.  All they would have to do is walk to the nearest street corner.  These cameras do not prevent crime, they only aid in making the average person feel uncomfortable.

“But if you are breaking the law, why worry?”  Because, since when have you known the government to be upstanding and ethical.  Do not trust them, because they certainly do not trust you to act like a rational citizen.  The fact that the government had to reassure people that they were not going to place cameras in buildings means that to passify the average person to allow them to place the cameras in public.  I would much rather be the victim of an unsolved crime, than be on camera all day.  Silence is golden, so is privacy.

If you are not outraged, you’re not on camera.
